In this guide we will explain how to update a template or an extension, whether you bought in some market (Themeforest, Mojomarketplace, others) or our website.
All our products have the integrated Joomla Update System that will inform you that there is a new version of the product.
Full Backup
Always do a complete back-up before upgrading Joomla or any extension, so that you can easily rollback if there are issues
Update Types
Our Free Products.
All of our extensions and templates that are distributed for free you can update them directly from your Joomla updates system.
Our Commercial Products.
Our commerciar extensions and templates can not be updated automatically. The reason is that many of our customers send their copy to PIRATES sites. These extensions and templates are included in the update packages of the product you purchased.
Third-party Free Extensions.
Extensions that have integrated the Joomla update system, can be updated from the Joomla admin. Extensions that do not have the Joomla update system are included in the update packages of the product you purchased.
Third-party Commercial Extensions.
If we have a license that allows us to redistribute the extension, then we will include an updated copy in the update packages of the product you purchased.
Updated Files
We classify our clients into two groups, can download the updates during the validity time of your license granted by the market where you purchased the product.
Market Customers.
They are all who buy our products in markets like Themeforest, Mojomarketplace, Creative Market, others. These customers can download all extensions, templates and files updated from the Download Panel on the market.
Unitemplates Customers.
They are all who buy our products here at Unitemplates. To download your updates, go to the Downloads Panel of your account.
How To Update
To update free extentsions and templates with Joomla update system go to: System >> Update >> Extensions
- Check extensions to update
- Update all checked extensions
To update the commercial extensions and templates you have to download the packages (unpack if they are downloaded from the market), then install it from System >> Install >> Extensions
