I've followed the steps
here
to create an app and generate a token, this all seems to be working and the module is successfully connecting to Instagram. However, it is only displaying the caption of the Instagram image, no images. I can click on the text and it will open the image in Instagram, but the image itself will not display and I can't find a setting anywhere to change this.
I note your demo is also not displaying, I wonder if this is related.

What is happening in our demo is that the token has already expired because Facebook gives you only 60 days, in the next version we will possibly add the token auto regeneration function.
In case of your problem, you may not have the GD library on your site or you have some kind of privacy activated on your IG. try to load by clearing your browser cache and your Joomla cache. It is very rare that it does not show you images because the module is created to show images from instagram or those created on your site using instagram images.

Thanks, I've already cleared the website cache and browser cache, and tried viewing on other browsers on this machine and also other machines. I've also viewed the website via a VPN. In no instances will the images display.
The website has Ignite Gallery installed which requires certain libraries, and images are displaying correctly. Currently the site is running PHP7.4 with gd and ioncube_loader. To test, I installed a temporary Elfsight Instagram module, and that is successfully displaying the images of the Instagram account, which would indicate the account is not blocking the display of images.
Attached are screenshots of the website and PHP configuration FYI. Any assistance would be appreciated. If you would like access to the website I'm happy to provide it.

Check the following:
1. Access by FTP and see if this path exists /cache/mod_ut_joomstagram/YOUR_USERNAME_ADDED_IN_MODULE_SETTINGS/media/, there must be images inside.
2. Check the errors of the browser console maybe there is a 404 of the images or restrictions.
If you want me to verify it, you can also send the URL and access data as confidential.

Thanks for getting back to me so fast. The directory exists and there are images in it. However, there is an error in the console, but I'm not very familiar with troubleshooting those so I would really appreciate if you could take a look for me.

The module is working perfectly, the problem that you have a 403 FORBIDDEN error, this may be due to a problem of permissions of the joomla cache folders or the same image files the folders must have 755 and the files 644, you can correct it using an FTP client, or this can also be caused by a htaccess or some firewall that you use for Joomla, the solution is on your side.
You can see the error from the front-end by pressing F12 >> Console, the images exist but as you can see in the links of console, their access is prohibited.

I´ve got the same error. Before summer it worked properly but now it doesn´t work properly:

Maybe you changed your facebook or instagram password or your token to expired, because these expire every 2 months are the policies of Facebook

in the module, i´ve got just the username. not password was given. how can i reset the token? i onnly give in the module the username.

You do not have to put your password in the module, when I said that maybe you changed the password I was referring to Facebook or Instagram, if you change your passwords on these sites your token is lost. I recommend you follow the link of the documentation that is in the module so that you can obtain the token from facebook.

@Gatomadrid, Because Instagram has blocked the loading of images outside of instagram.com if you don't have a token.

Is there an ETA for the token auto regeneration function?
Having to generate a new token every 60 days is quite tedious.
