Can a smooth transition of images using a dissolve or fade effect be achieve instead of a harsh slide transition while cycling through the slides? If so, could you please provide the detailed steps that would be required? Thanks

In the Carousel Options tab in the Speed field you can increase it to 650 for example to make the change smoother.
For a native fade effect it would be necessary to create an override, to call a new .js file that weighs 150kb (twice the size of the module) and add a line of code to the override, but I don't know if it's worth it. There's an example here codesandbox.io/p/sandbox/6dmn8c

Leoalv, it might be worth considering this as a potential option for a future update within the module. I implemented your suggestion to increase the speed field to 650, and the results are much smoother. Thank you for your assistance and for providing the helpful example link.
